Review: Tribe w/ Letters To Cleo @ WPI

i still can't tell if i liked this show or if i didn't. it had it's high and low points. which is too bad cos it's tribes second to last show. if my college life were to have a soundtrack, tribe would definately be on it.

anyways it was a free show for WPI students, which was good. donations were accepted for a homeless shelter downtown. letters to cleo started a bit late and proceded to make the mics feedback quite a bit. maybe it was the sound system or something, or perhaps i just have different taste than i used to, but i didn't think that letters to cleo were very interesting. i seem to remember their show a year and a half ago as being much better. small pit got started twords the end, and i steped in to disco dance, but everyone stopped.

tribe didn't fare too well against the sound system either. some feedback, but less than LTC. to me it seemed that band did not have the energy i have seen in previous performances. they played a lot of stuff of 'sleeper' and a lot of the standards from 'abort'. they did two encores.

i'm not gonna rag on the crowd too too much. suffice to say that most people consider pit style to consist of just throwing their bodies at each other. boring boring boring. boring to do and boring to watch. oh and big shirtless dorks with mini search and destroy tattoos are so fucking dumb.
